FEES

Shawna takes out the guess-work and provides her clients with complete packages for most services offered. There are no hidden fees or costs, ever.  All services, even a la carte services include an initial 1-hour consultation with Shawna as well as a meeting with her to review your completed documents.  If you do not already know what service you want, Shawna will provide you with her recommendation for the service that best fits your needs as well as the total cost.  In most cases, Shawna will need only one week to provide your custom-tailored document(s).          

 

Will Packages

Through the month of June, all Will Packages will be discounted 20% off of the price listed below and Notary Fees will be included.  A $100 retainer is required before Shawna begins work on a Will Package.

  • $300     One Will and one Advance Health Care Directive, for a single unmarried person with no minor children
  • $400     One Will and a Testamentary Trust for minor child(ren), a Medical Consent Authorization for Minor Child(ren) and an Advance Health Care Directive, for a single person with child(ren)
  • $500     Two Wills and two Advance Health Care Directives, for a couple who have no minor children    
  • $750     Two Wills and a Testamentary Trust for minor child(ren), two Advance Health Care Directives and a Medical Consent Authorization for Minor Child(ren), for a married couple or domestic partners who only have child(ren) from their relationship
  • $900     Two Wills and a Testamentary Trust for minor child(ren), two Advance Health Care Directives, and a Medical Consent Authorization for Minor Child(ren), for a married couple or domestic partners who have child(ren) from prior relationship(s)

 

Trust Packages

Through the month of June, all Trust Packages will be discounted 20% off of the price listed below and Notary Fees will be included.  A $500 retainer is required before Shawna begins work on a Trust Package.

In addition to a trust, these packages include the drafting and recording of one deed of real property, an Advance Health Care Directive, Medical Consent Authorization for Minor Child(ren), a Will to establish guardianship of minor children and/or deal with any property that is not included in the trust, a Power of Attorney and a HIPPA release.  Whether it is an A-B Trust, a Special Needs Trust, or your Trust involves the assignment of your business interest, the pricing is the same and simply depends on the value of your estate which is based on the fair market value of your assets, as follows:

  • $ 1,750     For estates worth less than   $  500,000
  • $2,000    For estates worth between    $  500,000-$1,000,000
  • $2,500    For estates worth between    $1,000,000-2,000,000
  • $3,000    For estates worth more than  $2,000,000

  

A La Carte Services

Any service not listed below is billed at Shawna's hourly rate of $275.00.

  • $150     Advance Health Care Directive   
  • $100     Do Not Resuscitate Order    
  • $175      Drafting and Recording of 1 (one) Deed to Real Property, Located in California.    
  • $125      Durable Power of Attorney & HIPPA Release
  • $250     One Will, no Testamentary Trust if you are single and have no children

 

Probate Fees

In addition to any fees payable to the Court, Shawna also charges the statutory attorney fees commensurate with the those listed in the California Probate Code.  The fees are based on the fair market value of all assets in the estate without taking any liabilities or debts into account.  The fee schedule is:

  •  4% of the first $      100,000
  •  3% of the next $     100,000
  •  2% of the next $     800,000
  •  1% on the next $  9,000,000
  • .5% on the next $ 15,000,000
